Profile Review Deadlines
Artist Profiles
When you first create an artist profile, you will receive an artist rating of General Artist once you’ve submitted your Mandatory Information and requested review. You won’t need to do anything to maintain your General Artist rating as long as your artist profile is current and active.
You can choose to submit Additional Information once you have an artist rating.
FACTOR typically reviews all profiles with Additional Information twice annually. Given the uncertainty of the last year(s) and the unknowable but optimistic return ramp to normal market activity of releasing, touring, and networking in music’s creative economy, FACTOR will be holding artist and company ratings at their 2021-2022 status for all clients in fiscal 2022-2023 – no one will be lowered. If a client believes their activity of the last year would warrant a rise in rating, they are encouraged to update their Additional Information in the client portal and apply to the higher-tier program they seek access to in order to be assessed for eligibility.
Remember: if your artist profile only has Mandatory Information, no action is required to keep your General Artist rating.
To learn more about Additional Information and artist ratings, visit our Profiles & Ratings for Artists page.
Applicant or Company Profiles
If you are applying to FACTOR as an artist, you do not need to take any action on your applicant profile once your profile is Approved.
As above, ratings for companies will hold at existing tiers in 2022-2023 or can be assessed upon request to access a higher-tier program. Music companies who are creating applicant profiles for the first time should complete as much of the profile as applicable and submit it for review. New applicant profiles can receive a company rating of Approved, 2 or 3.
For more information, visit our Profiles & Ratings for Music Companies page.
